Its very scary how amazingly everyone has some sort of story from their personal life. In my own thoughts, its one of the reasons that I feel some people have such an adverse reaction to the May/December relationship of SSHG or the Teacher/Student relationship. It has come to me, in talking or listening to others, male and female, that almost everyone has had some kind of experience with non-con sex, whether falling between the touching as you described or all the way up to complete violation. There is so much I would like to say, comments I would like to make, personal experience I would like to share, that, I pause........ And decide to only express the fact that I liked your expression of a delicate subject. Thank you.

something wrose then this happend to my father, and never once were me and my sister to leave his sight and a family members house. the sad part is that he told and nothing ever happend...but dont think that if something happend to my kids I would want to see that person beg. this was a good story.

Personally, I think it was a beautiful thing that they did for their daughter, and more peaceful for the rest of the family. I'm not sure I would have done it that way. I'd have castrated him with a set of manicure scissors and handed him over to the police after letting him bleed out enough to give him a 50/50 chance of survival. ~Mia

I think this is a sharp, sensitive and well-written piece, and believable. I do wish Hermione could have told Severus first, though I understand her fear in doing so, because his immediate support for his daughter, and clarification that he didn't see her as dirty, could go a long way towards her getting over this horrible event. Very believable consequences. I do not have children, but I can imagine reacting very similarly if I discovered this had happened to a young family member. Thank you for writing this piece. - DV

Excellent story. Thank you for not being one to make light of such a serious topic.

My oldest child experienced this at the hands of the father. He was not prosecuted for lack of evidence. It is not all that easy to say what you would do if you are in that situation because if you hurt or kill the purp than you are no better than the purp and won't get to help your children heal and keep them safe. Needless to say my child does not see the father at all, but it is a crazy world and most rapes that happen are by someone the victim knows and is familiar with. Sick. I don't mind seeing rape in fanfic, I just don't like when "love" comes from it. If it is in the content of the story and treated as such than so be it. I do not like it glamourized. You did well with the writing however I would also have had Hermoine tell Severous right away as well.

Ohhh gosh. The exact same thing happened to me except at my nanas. I wont let me parents do anything about it just like Elizabeth wouldn't, as it defaintly would break up our family. Im glad you wrote this. Very well done. xx
