| I just finished reading this whole story. First of all, I have to say I've never before seen a story that has plot elements based on an actual card reading. While at first, I had to wrap my head around the fact that a reading would work for fictional characters, I came to decide that I liked the idea. More importantly, I think that it adds a touch of reality into a world that I often fervently wish was real.
That all being said, I really like your story. I've always thought that the Horcruxes had some sort of lasting taint to them, for those who had borne them for a time. I'd never considered those who were bitten by Nagini in my musings, however, but that makes sense. I love how well you've described the pain and conflict of Severus and Hermione (and can't wait to read about the rest of them) and how their curse seems to manifest in hurtful things said to one another. I admire them for being able to realize and overcome these bouts of irrationality.
Overall, you have a unique story, and I'm certainly looking forward to reading more of it. Author's Response: Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Elainya. The card readings are interesting. I wasn't sure, myself, how that would work for fictional characters. However, I've noticed while writing that even though they are fictional, they seem to have minds of their own. So I figured I'd give it a try. It's really uncanny what came out. I, too, am compelled to believe that the Horcrux creation had to have had lasting impact (just as I explored in "Tree of Life"). I hadn't seen it in other SSHG stories, either, so I thought I'd see where it led. :) | |||

| I have enjoyed your story. The thought of Severus reading the Tarot and being versed is something unique and unusual. I hope to see more updates in the future. This is quite a pleasant surprise.
