I am very glad that I decided to pick this story up tonight - it's intense, and both incredibly sad and hopeful. I love the whole concept - sort of PTSD taken to its most extreme degree. Characterization is excellent, and your use of Neville is wonderful. Kudos on a completely new rendition of Molly Weasley. So many HG/SS involve a really bitchy version taking her ickle Ronnikins side - wonderful to see this intelligent, thinking woman in this last chapter. Keep up the good work - I'm looking forward to more!
Author's Response: Squee! I adore *your* stories, so to see you review makes my day. I'm delighted that you're enjoying the story on all the different levels. Yes, PTSD is a core concept here -- the ways in which the past remains in the present, and the barrier between Dark and Light erodes are foundational to the narrative. I see Molly as far more wise and experienced than most give her credit for. I'm glad that you appreciated her here. Hermione sure did.
Thanks for reviewing! I've already started work on Chapter 17. :) |

You might laugh at this e-mail but I just had to submit it.
Your description of the Room of Requirement in the last chapter--its need to heal, feeling the pain of the others. You did a magnificent job of describing the emotions of all involved.
I have been enjoying this story----well done
PS
I love words and you have chosen to use some very interesting ones and some one does not always hear or use in modern times
Author's Response: No laughing at all, just delighted! Thank you :) I'm thrilled that you're enjoying all the different components of the story. Thanks for reading and reviewing. Chapter 16 is up soon :) |

Author's Response: Thanks so much! Chapter 16 is with the beta readers now. 17 might be delayed a bit since I'm writing for the SSHG exchange. But it will come... promise :) |

This is just a general comment. I've been following your story and have commented a couple of times but I have to say again how much I am enjoying it. Very very nicely written.

What extraordinary imagery you've conjured up - such an original idea, having the mirrors embody an essence of the Light of the others affected. A bit scary
at first, but I think it's going to be all right for the others to join them soon. One nitpicky little observation - towards the end, Neville says he hasn't seen much Light "laying around lately" - it should be "lying around".
Author's Response: Thanks, AmyLouise. I'm glad that the imagery moves you. Thanks for the catch, I'll make the correction. |
