And yes, I think Severus would be a natural for a lovely singing voice... but also very self-conscious about doing something as vulnerable as singing, where other people can hear him. I think that Severus would be nervous about becoming a father, since he's never had a good example to follow, but he would be very intent on being a much better father than his own was. | |||

| Oh my -this took my breath away. It's almost a pity Hermione witnessed this, it was as if the little ritual of Severus and his daughter was almost sacred and some of that went away upon her discovery. But then, if she hadn't followed we'd never have known. Great work. Author's Response: Thank you very much! I'm so glad you enjoyed this. I agree that it seems a shame that the ritual can't remain a secret--but if it did, I wouldn't be able to tell the story, either! ;-) Besides, I suspect that Hermione feels honored to see a side of Severus that few people have. | |||
