I have thoroughly enjoyed this story and I do hope you are going to continue it - I am really looking forward to reading it.

The Harry Potter exhibit came last year to the Museum of Science and Industry, here in Chicago. It was divided into sections: The Great Room, The Gryffindor Common Room, Hagrid's Hut, and I forget the fourth biggie. But there were smaller offshoots, one of them being Potions (Yay!!) They had a bunch of the intriguingly labeled bottles for ingredients. (I don't remember floating things; either I repressed that memory, or there just weren't any, I dunno.) But there was a costume for Slughorn, and one for Snape. For the record: Snape's frock coat has exactly twelve buttons; I counted them! And there are buttons on his pants, like buttons on cuff sleeves. Like the ones at his wrists, their only function is decorative. I did not think to count those, though perhaps I should have! The outline of spats would have shown, but there were none. His footwear appeared to be either shoes or short boots (remember seeing his shin with Fluffy's bite in the first movie), but they were strictly black. Their were multiple outfits for other characters, but not for our Potions Master. The recording for that station was the Frenchwoman who was the costume designer. She said, "I could never improve on the first costume for Snape, because it was perfect." 'Nuff said! (And another "10" for you, my pretty!)

Author's Response: Aw man I went to that exhibit; it was totally awesome! Yeah, it's all black, with the exception, in some renditions of the costume, of the shirt collar around his neck. Hehe, I liked listening to the French woman's explanations for the costumes.

In rereading to catch up, I see I left two reviews exactly one year ago (chapters 4 & 5)! I'm hopeful that now you've reestablished yourself, your story will be kept more current more frequently. I really enjoyed this last chapter. I liked the increasing closeness of Severus and Hermione; I liked the fact that your versions of Harry and Ron seem more sensible than those of many authors. But: spats?! You've got Severus wearing...SPATS?! From the first story, where Hermione's set his cloak on fire at the Quidditch game (which distracts Quirrell), we've never seen spats before! So he's wearing those odd looking white things which are worn over shoes? It would make his feet flash white while he was striding around. I dunno...that doesn't seem very Snape-like to me. I'm sorry. He IS your Snape; I just have a hard time imagining him wearing spats, that's all. Other than that--a most delightful chapter! Well, even WITH that, a most delightful chapter! Another "10" for you. And thanks for all your hard work.

Author's Response: Well I suppose they're technically part of his trousers but they go over his shoes and have buttons down the sides. Very spat-like if you ask me. They're black though. I thought they weren't attached to his pants until I posted this chapter. I watched the first movie again last night with some friends and I saw they weren't attached, just an extension. Perhaps I should clear this up. XD No, no white for Severus unless it's a shirt. Yes, I'll definitely be updating more often! It won't be once a week unfortunately but it'll be more frequently than once a month. Vagueness thy name is Kraut! Thanks so much for sticking with me all this time! :D

Glad to see you updating again! Looking forward to seeing what happens when they're stuck in close quarters.

Author's Response: Thank you so much! Hopefully something good will happen. ;D

SO glad you decided to rework and continue this! It's a good story, and it was worth the wait. Thank you! I hadn't even noticed your figurative use of the word 'ejaculated', so it must have fit in naturally, or I would have. (Just as the words 'belch' or 'eructation' can describe the actions of a volcano, say, so the verb 'ejaculate' doesn't only apply to something a body can do.) Thank you again for coming back, and thanks for all your hard work to make your story live again! YAY!

Author's Response: I'm glad it was worth it! Thank you so much for your comments and support!

She never did get around to giving him that goblet of Strengthening Solution. All through the conversation I kept picturing her holding it in her hand.

Author's Response: Ah, thanks for pointing that out. I'll add it to my list of things I need to rework. on this initial section.

Okay, author! We're just short of six months, here--any chance you've got another chapter anywhere CLOSE to submitting? I just found this story again, and am strongly hoping that you might give us a new chapter for Easter--or Passover, or whatever spring holiday you celebrate! (Please?!) Another "10" for you, just to thank you for your writing...

Author's Response: I really appreciate your comment. I'm getting closer. It's been an incredibly...odd year. I wasn't happy with where the story was going so I basically have gone back to the drawing board and have to figure out where I want to go. I've got three new chapters outlined and am currently writing the fifth. I apologize for the incredibly annoying gap between chapters. Thank you again for your comment and patience! :)
