Good economy of words.

I also reread it several times. You gathered more mening each time. Interesting.

Beautiful - bleak and hopeful all in one. Thanks for writing!

Author's Response: Thank you very much. It's one of my favorites. :)

Eerily beautiful. You conveyed so much in these 100 words -and yet you said close to nothing. I have read it several times, to understand, to know or try to know more of what was going on and to get more of the feelings -despair, hope, love, fear... Well done!

Author's Response: Thank you so much. This drabble lives a life of its very own even though it was written long ago. I'm happy every time someone discovers it again. ~Ana

This almost read like a poem. I found I had to read it thru a few times, not to make sense of it, but to see what you wanted us to see. It has a stark beauty. I love it when writers can make something wonderful out of as few words as possible. Good job. Now please tell me... they obviously weren't on their way to the altar to get married. So, running from bad people?

Author's Response: Thank you for that. I'm so touched that you think so. Drabbles are quite a challenge, that's for certain. Yes, since the challenge was runaway, I imagine it could be for any number of reasons. Most likely to avoid his prosecution.
