| What a lovely ending like a summer day. after my first growl of a review, I relented, and thought it would be better ' to walk in the moccasins', and read all the chapters; so I did, and I grew to like her more, her jealousy, and his honesty; that quiet moment when she felt his warmth on her back, and he had come back.
The ending was a peaceful scene in the garden, all dancing. Far better than Azkaban and loneliness.

| Hm... She certainly acts like a very young puffed-uip teenager. Odd, wouldn't her mother, or Minerva, or Molly have taught her, that she is the hostess, the one to make a guest feel welcome? A more dignified, mature retort to Snape's put down would be to ask: how do You prepare this dish? - is cheese not an ingredient ?( It isn't), to steer the conversation away to something less hostile, or to respect his wish for silence,(He came from prison and his quiet dungeons), then offer evening tea, later, if he wished to join her--- His life has just changed immensely, and she is not used to cranky, brilliant houseguests either.- of course, she can say stop it to his putdowns, but to say the cat is more welcome--- Not comme- il- faut..
I blushed when shen threw out his food, and her own. For shame. She came across as.. as a hostile child, used to being the star, the sole attention of doting parents; Yes Snape is cranky, and rude, and suspicious( he does have a lifetime of being treated with very little consideration.)
She, a too- highly- praised child has much growing up to do. They both need to relax,and be more gentle, and understanding about each other's foibles. |
