| I so enjoyed this when I read it the first time, but apparently had a brain-fart and didn't mark it. Last week I wanted to revisit it, I think particularly to read the scene where Severus punches the vendor. (I have no idea why I wanted to read that again, except that it's such a primal idea, and I do rather like a refined Severus with primal moments.) I could not remember your name or the name of the story to save me. I was completely ignored by WIKtT moderators in my requests, so I appealed to friends on MoITWF (Mob of Irate Torch-Wielding Fans). Immediately Passionate4Snape emailed me with the information from Astronomy Tower, and armed with your name and the title, I came here (for some reason the grey background is easier on my aging eyes). That's quite a long way to tell you that I like this story so much that it has stuck in my head for several years, and that in surfacing recently it has given me some interesting things to think about while washing the dishes and peeling the potatoes. Thank you very much! I should also say that your writing style is very appealing, and that your grammar and punctuation are above reproach. After trying to endure misplaced apostrophes and misspelled "your" and "their" and even "lead" vs. "led," I'm especially grateful for a writer who can wield the tools properly. |

| I enjoyed reading this very very much! I love the way you described Harry & Hermione's life and business together. They are mature and intelligent and live very believably amongst the muggles. The market scene was very nice and descriptive. Ronald's failure to launch and resulting petulance was very funny. I like the way you characterized Severus' thought narrative throughout story, it's very endearing, especially when he was self conscious about his appearance. Very cute, but believable. I was surprised (in a titallating way) at all the bisexual references you snuck in here. Anyway, I must say that I really really REALLY love this story and I wish you had more to offer in the HP fanficdom. |

| This is a beautifully crafted, well-thought piece of writing. I love the way you portrayed both Hermione and Severus, and I have to say, your Harry is better than he can hope for. Very well done, congratulations! |

| I can imagine the scene when Severus hands Dumbledore his letter of resignation: the shock, that one of his puppets would cut the strings; then the calculation, and the attempt to guilt-trip him. Living in that warehouse, with the roof garden and the lovingly restored antiques sounds wonderful. Too bad I can't join them. |

| No matter how many times I read this, I still love it as much. I needed something good to clean my eyeballs after a couple of chapters of a fic worthy of the pit, and this hit the spot. |

| Excellent !! Spot-on about the locals respecting a man in her life. And I love the details in this story - such as Harry knowing his way around the house because he cooked and cleaned so often at the Dursely's. Great story! |

| A very interesting and enjoyable story! I have a couple of quibbles, though. Snape did live as a muggle as a child (and wore muggle clothing), so he'd most definitely be familiar with jeans, etc. In the canon it's clear he's familiar with muggle stuff - in CoS he asks HP and RW "What have you done with the car?" Most wizards wouldn't know a car from a cow, lol. As for Hermione, I can't imagine a young woman not being at all disturbed by her former professor's deeds as a DE. Murder. Rape. These are violent crimes. Any young woman would be if not disgusted, at least very anxious at the prospect of getting involved with such a man. I'm not criticizing - I've *never* read a HG/SS fic that took that into account - it's just that the rest of this story is so well written and formulated. |

| This story popped up during a "random story" search and I am so glad it did. I really liked the way you paced the story and kept it from being whiney or insipid. Thank you so much for a very enjoyable story. I am glad it is still posted here. |
