Loved the story would like to see it extended though

I am back to the Potterverse after many years (busy helping get my sons thru college) and tonight was "surfing" and found your story "From the Shack to Quiescence." I swear I don't even remember beta'ing this for you---and tonight I read it as an entirely new story I'd never seen before. I am honored if my one poor contribution to the fanfiction world inspired your story; "Resurgam" is very different from this, and honestly in some ways I believe I like YOUR "Severus Lives!" story better than mine! So good to re-discover this--and to be tack! Thank you for a lovely story!

Thank you so much for this story. Snape's death at the end of Deathly Hallows left a bad taste in my mouth. It felt fundamentally wrong that he should die in the Shrieking Shack. (Especially when his first year speech advised that he knew how to "put a stopper in death".)

Author's Response: It never sat right with me either, and since his body was never recovered... Thank you for reading and for the review.

I was glad he didn't die and now he has so many possibilities ahead, even love and a family of his own.

Author's Response: Yeah, I wrote this because I hated the way he died in the books. Thank you for reading and for the review.

I so appreciate the Random corner in the upper left on the home page here! It's because of that I discover stories like this one. Like most others here, I was saddened and upset that Rowling ended the lives she did in her tale. Severus and Dobby were for me the characters I hated to see killed off. I suppose she had to kill Dobby in order for Griphook to be swayed into helping Harry get into Gringotts. But I really resented--and still do--that she gave poor Snape such an ignoble end (instead of helping Harry kill Voldemort directly, say). But you have helped rectify that by your stories. I am glad I found this. Thank you so much.

Author's Response: I know! I've found some great discoveries myself there! I'm guessing this one popped up? lol I actually cried - yes actual tears and sobbing cried over Dobby's, Fred's and Severus' deaths. Good thing I had tissues handy. (Oddly so many died--no one was maimed, loss of limb or 'scarred, just killed. hated that) I'm glad you understand why I wrote this story--because I fell like you do, snake bite indeed, to a man who can brew anything and teach you how to stopper death? yeah right. I still believe that Harry, medic that he isn't if he can't even manage to cure a paper cut would know the diff between near death, coma, nerotoxin paralysis, shock, or death. Geeeze. So you are most welcome to my How It Really Ended story. Hugs and hope 2011 is a great year for you.

So the enormous eyes and nose belonged to Peren. Did Hermione send the patronus to her specifically, or was it just a general call for help to anyone who would listen? I'm glad the house elves knew the truth; servants always know everything that goes on. One small typo: Severus telling Minerva he wants peace and *quite*.

Author's Response: House-elves had strong magic all of their own. Theya re truly remarkable creatures. Thank you for reading and the review.

Brililant. I've always thought it was crap Arthur could survive the snake bite but a potions master couldn't

Author's Response: My thoughts exactly!
