| This was great, very humorous and light hearted. I looked in on some reviews and noted how your story brought out the best/worst memories of dental experiences..and I am not different. (Because I know you're just dying to hear about another rotten tooth, or painful pulling, lol) Actually, I have always been the least favorite of any dentist - I have perfect teeth. I have had only one cavity my entire life, and my wisdome teeth never even came in. I have a perfect mouth, and thus poor Dr. Cyr has never made a penny off me and my insurance company. He's tried, but it doesn't help that my best friend is a dental assistant and comes with me. "That's not an absess, that's your finger's smudge." Great story, great memories. Well done, Betz. | Oh, the memories this fic brings.
4 years of monthly braces treatments plus an extraction of 8 teeth in a single day, I daresay all dentists are over-qualified to be Voldie's Official Interrogators. *grin*
Severus must REALLY love Hermione o go through this for her. Hehehe.... just imagine Mrs. Granger giving him his root canal is enough to make me squeal. :D

| Wow, this fic brings back nostalgia. The good, bad and gory days of My Dentist & I. *grin* Or maybe I'm just masochistic enough to enjoy all the dentist trips. LOL.
Very hilarious fic, by the way! Severus was so sweet to go out of his way to please Hermione! The descriptions of the dental treatment felt damn real too, I could imagine Lester probing his teeth and gums with all those utencils and interrogation under the light. :D |

very good fun and inventive! but seriously, there are NO english women called wanda, and i've never met a man called lester. and no-one calls either their father or their father in law 'sir', so between men of similar ages and from a very dignified man, it wouldn't happen over here. but i don't mean to be rude, i mention this in case you didn't know. if you did know, ignore me and carry on!
Author's Response: Well, the name Wanda was inspired by the movie "A Fish Called Wanda". I know, I know, Wanda was the American (Jamie Lee Curtis), but Michael Palin named his fish Wanda too. So technically there is a lady named Wanda...even though it's a lady fish. And Lester was after my orthodontist, who was a great inspiration for this fic. And with Severus calling him "sir," I figured he was just trying to be polite with a man who is a stranger to him and who could very well become his father-in-law. I don't mind your remarks, just so long as you had a good laugh. |
