| This is really great so far. I love your Ron--he's so realistic. I also love Hermione's feelings about the end of their relationship. That last scene reminded me of a time in college when I was sitting at the kitchen table crying after a breakup and my roommates came up to me and realized that my boyfriend and I had broken up. There's some strange similarities there... Although I was eating frozen pizza (one of my staple foods back then), not drinking tea. Er, anyway, back to your story...
Usually I see Hermione and Ron breaking it off because he does something stupid or treats her badly. This is much better than the cliches that usually occur (and it's what I can imagine happening based on the canon).
Okay, I'm going to continue reading and stop rambling... Author's Response: Thank you! I 'm so glad you enjoyed Ron. He was difficult to keep in character without going overboard and making him a complete and total prat. ;) I'm thrilled you found the reasons for their break up to be believable -- I was striving for realism. | You did a beautiful, respectful job with this. You showed that they really are two different people, but two people who love and understand the other. I really hope that Ron will continue to be the friend Hermione needs throughout the story. Author's Response: Thank you! I am thrilled that you liked the chapter. I didn't want to portray Ron as a complete prat, but I did want to show why a relationship between these two would not work in the long run.
