| I read this many years ago, and I'm having a little revival of my SS/HG fandom and re-reading a lot. This story still delivers and I enjoyed re-reading it over the last few nights. I am, against my better judgement, going to move onto the unfinished sequel.

| The ending is raw and emotional but real feeling. He is a mess emotionally and yes she could have helped him process through the transition into post war life. But if he isn’t ready then I can believe he might choose to leave instead. Only thing is I believe he would have left a note. Maybe it’s obthe leather bound journal? Well done. I enjoyed this journey. |

| I find this idea very interesting and look forward to seeing how it plays out. It is rare to see a story where the Dark Lord is angry at how Albus died or to find out Severus was for the light all along. But to have both ideas in one story is great. |
