Reviews for What Happens in Vegas ...

It was very nice and original, thank you! Although all the smirking and "oh if I asked your permission, you've wouldn't have given it, so I did what I wanted" seemed a bit annoying and invasive rather than witty (my personal taste, I guess). As for the mistakes, I don't believe the idea that you can recognise a wizard or a witch by their "magical signature", when they just walk into the room, can be found anywhere in the canon, but there are plenty of examples illustrating the lack of such effect. And legimency doesn't work like that according to canon, although many people have that misconception. It allows the wizard to look at the memories, not to communicate or read thoughts (making it much more realistic, considering how our brain works.) Sorry, you have asked :) But otherwise very nice!

Guuuuh you slay me with that ending in a most delicious way. If you ever, ever, ever, ever feel the tiniest inclination to write a continuation I WHOLEHEARTEDLY support you :) Alternatively if anyone writes a fan-fanfic (with the author's permission, of course) I would devour that as well. Thank you for writing such an intriguing beginning! *runs off to prowl the rest of your works*

I know I read this a couple of years ago, around the time my husband and I loved the movie THE PRESTIGE. (By the way, a film similar in topic, mystery and surprise--which everyone should see--is THE ILLUSIONIST. We liked it even better, and that's saying something.) But I remember favoriting you as an author, which to me means liking virtually everything you've written, so I may not have favorited this story before. Well, I will now! This is actually a plausible scenario, considering the entire AU Potterverse. Terrific little story, and if I'd been in Hermione's place, I'd have said yes to dinner, too! Thanks for having written this.

I don't know if you're still checking for reviews on this story, as the last one was a couple of years ago, but I'll comment anyway. Cute idea, cute story. I enjoyed it. One question, though: How does Mr. Stone normally perform the levitation trick? Does he really put a woman into a trance?

Too much fun, I love the idea of a wizard playing Muggle magician. I was sort of reminded of Stranger in a Strange Land with the levitation scene. And the allusion to the Prestige rocked. Thanks for a good bit of fun!

Author's Response: I'm glad you enjoyed. I loved the idea of a real 'magician' doing magic. Thanks for reading and reviewing.

When I reviewed this story earlier, I hadn't noticed the "Completed: Yes" status of the story. Otherwise I wouldn't have asked for a continuation. It really is fine the way it is. I didn't mean any criticism.

Author's Response: Oh, I didn't take your request as a criticism at all. It's actually a compliment to know that you like a story well enough to want to see it continue. This one was never meant to be more than a fluffly little ficlet, however. Again, I'm glad you liked it and thanks for reading.

Heh. I'd say you summed up my view on Vegas (and Atlantic City). Unfortunately there was no Snape-like magician at either city when I went, so I think Hermione got the better end of the deal. And, for what it's worth, I like your ending point. There's plenty of wonderful smut-fics at this site, let's take a moment to appreciate a simple beginning and leave the rest to our imagination.

Author's Response: I'm so glad you enjoyed. Thanks for reading and reviewing.
