just lovely, some times there are no words to say but love shows in all actions.

Author's Response: Indeed. Thank you so much!

ohhhhhhhhh! *tear* what happened to him!!! who hurt my sevvie (joke) That was truely beautiful.

Author's Response: That's part of the mystery of the story. It wasn't the event that mattered, it was the reaction. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for taking the time to let me know. :)

Brilliant story, rather sad though. I am rather curious-what exactly was the loss?

Author's Response: To be perfectly honest, I couldn't decide and therefore left it ambiguous. It wasn't important - the loss as a whole and his reaction and her reaction were what was important. I'm glad you enjoyed it .

Excellent! Snape was in character despite his emotional release. I also love the way you didn't reveal what had happened as it gave a sort of mystery to the story and allowed me (and i'm guessing other readers) to realte very easily to what they were going through. Absolutely terrific and please write more fics.

Author's Response: I must confess that was exactly what I was striving for. Purposely leaving it vague to allow the reader to relate to it better.

I'm very pleased you enjoyed it. I've written two other drabbles so far and am showing no signs of stopping.

Thank you for reviewing!

Wow, this was a very powerful little story. I worried at first that he wouldn't accept her offer of consolation but he did. I also liked the ambiguity of time and individual concerned. It's perfect as it stands. Thank you so much for sharing it with us.

Author's Response: Thank YOU very much for letting me know you enjoyed it.

You already know how moved I was that you were inspired by your own empathy and your great kindness to ease my grief. However, let me just say again how very heart-rending this vignette is.

You really captured the emotion beautifully in this scene. And I thought you used the maguffin very, very well. It doesn't really matter who died, what matters is his pain and her succor.

Author's Response: You inspire me always, in many ways. Your appreciation and comments mean a lot to me.

I'm glad you enjoyed it; I'm only sorry you had to go through the tragedy.

Snape, Hermione & I are here with you/for you.

Excellant short. I was brought back to a time when my father-in-law was in the hospital on life support and my husband was so non-plaus about the whole thing for 5 weeks. Then one day he just broke down and cried. I had never seen him cry before that and have never since. Your scene was so very human. Great job.

Author's Response: I'm so very pleased that I touched you in that way. I wanted the reader to relate the story to an event in their own life.

Yours is precisely the reaction I had devoutly wished to have in my readers.

Thank you for letting me know I have accomplished that.

Tender, charming little story. Maybe Snape is not completely in character (too emotional?), but you didn't set a time for this novel, so it could be whenever in the future and who knows what will happen in the future? I like this Snape finally accepting to be comforted by Hermione. I'm not a fan of SS/HG stories, but when they are as beautiful as this one, I'm glad to make an exception. Hope you understand what I mean, I'm Italian therefore my English is not as good as I would like. Again, good job! Best regards from Roma. Mariaemilia

Author's Response: Well, each reader has their own idea of who Snape is and how in character he is for them. I feel that for me, he was in character. Allowing release only in the privacy of his own home and around a person he has let into his heart.

I'm glad you made an exception for SS/HG stories for me.

*waves to you in Italy* -- I want to visit there some day!
