| I've already finished the story (and indicated I wish you'd sequel this some day). In rereading, I found an error: the proper word is not "properness", but PROPRIETY. It rhymes with 'society'. There's no such word as 'properness'--it's "propriety", instead. (No, don't ask me why, I just know that's it's so.) Author's Response: While I appreciate your good intent, this is rather a patronising response. I am fairly familiar with the word 'propriety'. There is, however, such a word as "properness". Just because your firefox dictionary may not recognise it... The OED gives three definitions: 1. Excellence, goodness; (esp. of appearance) elegance, handsomeness, tallness. Obs. 2. Appropriateness, fitness, suitability; propriety, respectability. 3. The fact of belonging specially to a person or thing; special quality or character, peculiarity. Obs. The two are synonyms. Please do not leave patronising reviews in future without checking your own knowledge first. | |||
