I would have picked it in a flash. I have not read the stories that won but I can't believe they are better than this one. This story is so well written with a plot that is incredibly spellbinging. I would go vote but I have no idea where. The intrigue and tension is interesting and so is all of the plot twists and such like. The secrets that permeate your story are starting to drive me batty however. Your story is a refreshing change from plotless wonders that seem to infest all fanfiction. This review probably isn't very well done but I wanted to tell you I enjoyed your story immensely and look forward to reading any later instalments. Anonymous This story is really very intriguing, exciting, captivating and always keeps me wondering how the hell they are going to get out of this one! Your characters are authentic, most of all Snape who does have strength and power but he is also vulnerable and quite mysterious and I particularly like that. He went through a lot and it shows. Hermione is still a very young woman, but she's seen too much to be as naive as she should be at her age. You give her edges and a nice mix of matureness and unwillingness to follow the rational at times. I'm not sure about their relationship as you put in Frienship but not Romance but you have those scenes interspersed where I get the feeling something is developing slowly. Or is it just wishful thinking? :-) However, I'm also wondering what is going on with Ginny? You hinted at something there. She is definitely creepy. I'm really looking forward to the next chapter! :-) Author's Response: Thank you for the well thought out review. I'm glad you see so deeply in to the characters; my favorite part of writing is characterization and making the characters seem like real people. Signed Fantastic piece. I have been slowly making my way through for the past three days, in between doing stuff, and I've been really enjoying this read. The house elf is charming- congratulations for introducing a character only ever-so-briefly mentioned in GoF, Gregorovich is a great character. Still curious about Snape- and maybe Ginny? There was a hint of something in there that sparked my curiosity. Not sure what to think of Ginny, really, hoping we get some explanation/ expounding on that subject.
