| Oh, my. This is burning me, but it's a good pain. It's exactly how I think he would react to the lifting of that horrific, unimaginable burden. The weight of it acts like a tourniquet, in a way, and all the big and little cuts of twenty years or more would start to bleed. Thank goodness Hermione was there to stop the bleeding. | I usually hate song fics, but this was very nice. It was sweet without being schmaltzy, and the tone was very even and well thought out. Author's Response: Well, I cut out all the lyrics. I hadn't looked at this story in ages, and I just didn't want them in there anymore. I like it better without them. :) Thanks for the review. | |||

| This was lovely! I generally groan at song-fics, but this one really worked. (In fact, I liked the lyrics so much I'm now exploring the Waterboys' other stuff, too.) The story itself is gentle and moody, and you successfully captured a moment. I know other writers have expanded one-shots into longer stories; I'd love to encourage you to do the same. If not, well, I'll just look forward to more stories from you. Author's Response: The Waterboys are great -- really at their best when seen live, though. I'm glad you liked the story. :) | |||
