The ending of that was so totally Percy. Good job, very haunting.

Ok. People keep mentioning "A Rose For Emily". Where have I heard of that before? I know I've heard of it before! I know it's not a fanfic either because I've heard of it from a long time ago! Damn and blast! Why don't I remember this story?!
Author's Response: Well, if you'd read my author's notes at the bottom, I have a link to William Faulkner's story, "A Rose for Emily." LOL... |

Oh gods Southern, I'm sorry! Between that other fic I recently read of yours and this one, things just are not going very well for you it seems. I'm really, really sorry. I hope things get better for you.
Author's Response: Oh, I'll be all right. I'm fine now. I have moods at times. I feel very "dark" sometimes, and it reflects in my writing. |

Awww... and she was so close to completing her 'mission' as well! Bless... despite the sadness, I like it!
Author's Response: Yes, isn't that how it always is sometimes? So close, yet so far away. Reminds me of that song, "Ironic," by Alanis Morisette. Cheers. :) |

Oh my god. That was incredibly powerful. I'm just staring at the screen and thinking, "Shit," in all honestly. It was beautiful, although I now feel as if a Dementor is stood beside me! I'm really sorry to hear about your loss. Kxx
Author's Response: Thank you for reading. I find that I really like this story even though it doesn't have a happy ending. Cheers! |

I'm so sorry for your loss, Southern. This is a hell of a way to deal with it (writing this story, I mean) but if it helps you, that's what matters. The imagery and the idea of this story are very, very strong. I don't think I'll forget this for a very long time. I can't imagine what you're feeling right now concerning the loss of your friend. I have grieved, but never for someone who was murdered. I honestly don't know if I could ever heal from that, but I sincerely hope you will be alright.
Author's Response: Things are much better. I've finally come out of my "funk" and am writing on my WIP again. I didn't dare write on that while I was in "odd Southern mode." Hehe. Thank you for reading and your kind words. |

This fic does really get one thinking about how far you'd go for a person you cared deeply about. I'm sorry to hear that you lost your friend to such an act as murder. Has anyone been arrested for it? I certainly hope so, if only to give the family closure and put such a person behind bars for a long time...
Author's Response: Yes, he's in jail. My friend was a police officer, and the guy struggled with another officer for his gun. When Jeremy went to help, the guy pulled the trigger, hitting him just above his bullet proof vest. The funeral was yesterday, and it gave me a great sense of peace. There were nearly 200 different police vehicles escorting his hearse, as well as an officer leading a horse. It was just really nice. He's received a great honor. I wish he'd been alive to see it, but you know what I mean... |
