| 'Kay. I've never been a big fan of song fics (because I never know the songs), but this one was awesome! I liked how you kept the song verses short (that way I didn't have to wade through a whole song to find the connections), and I liked how the song really did connect to the piece. It's very well written (and beta'd), the plot flows smoothly and has an awesome climax. Awesome fic! Author's Response: Thank you - I'm glad you liked the story. | Well, I don't know if I liked this or not. As far as a love story, it's not bad. I was a little confused on the flashback at first and the way it transitions; you don't really have any. It goes from the battle, to the flashback, to the aftermath. I don't even really see the song matching. However, I think that could be just me not really getting song fics ;). I did like it as far as it was fluff, but if you wanted something of substance, think about adding some more to it. The bare bones explanations could be expanded-I think you could have done a multi chapter fic with each verse of the song and come out wonderfully. Author's Response: Thank you for reviewing - I was going to spin it out longer but I'm always afraid of doing chaptered stories in case I suddenly get stuck in the middle :). But I think I'll use that idea for another song that will work better in a prolonged fic. Thank you! | |||
