Reviews for The Fullness of Time

This just perfectly captured everything with the minimum of words. It was sad but sweet and the ending broke my heart :'(

Author's Response: ::offers you a tissue:: I wrote this while babysitting my niece and nephew one evening. I had about half an hour to wait for their parents to return home, and I was struck by the melancholy that a war delivers to those who fight. I've never changed it since that night. Thanks for enjoying it.

I'm so glad wizarding Britain never found them or Draco. I loved the economy of your writing throughout. (The way you let us know which Weasley, in "A redhead ascended to the highest office in wizarding Britain. He was the last surviving member of his large family, and his political platform included regulations regarding cauldron thickness." Funny!) Not only were they fellow world travelers who got to reunite properly, they lived to be a happy pair of elderly surfers! Now that's a life! I loved that neither had to ever talk of their former lives. You are a prize. I got the impression from some other review (or review response to a different story) that you will not be writing more SS/HG stories. I am sorry if that is true, since you are to my mind one of the very best Snape writers ever. Dare we hope that you will finish The Summoning before you give up this sub-genre? Whatever your answer, it is sheer pleasure to read your writing. (I'll bet even your shopping lists are above average!)

Author's Response: I'm practically giddy with delight! You found my description of Percy amusing. It's not very often my humor works well -- and I do try! Every time someone notices it makes my day. Thank you, again, for leaving me such lovely reviews.

What a wonderful bittersweet piece of art. Thanks so much for sharing. I enjoyed it double as I live quite close to Hotel Sacher - a very fitting place for them to meet.

Author's Response: How wonderful that you're near the hotel -- I really thought it had the perfect blend of luxury and charm for these two. Thank you for enjoying the story.

I love this story and the fact that they eventually never separated - great stuff.

Author's Response: Thank you very much. It's one of my personal favorites as well.

I really enjoyed that. I enjoyed the style of writing, it very much conveyed the mood in a way that a more verbose story could not. Well done.

Author's Response: This was my first successful attempt at an omniscient voice, and it was a doodle I scribbled while babysitting my niece! It was one of those rare, perfect moments in writing where the piece just flowed from brain to page without a coherent thought in between. I'm very pleased you liked it!

I have never read this before seeing it today as a randomly selected story. It is hauntingly beautiful and so very real. Thank you for this.

Author's Response: I'm exceedingly late to reply to your very kind review, but please accept my thanks nonetheless. This is one of the few pieces of work I have never changed from the very moment it left my fingertips. So any praise for it is like frosting on a cake!

That was beautiful! I'm surprised I never read it before, but I'm glad the SSHG Awards steered me in this direction! I loved the vulnerability of these characters.

Author's Response: Hurray for the SSHG Awards! And thank you for taking a chance and reading the story. It's one of my personal favorites.
