Reviews for Clawing My Eyes Out

This was really funny! (And I read through the reviews, and dear god, please tell me there isn't actually a house-elf sex story?! *shudder*)

I laughed. I just simply read through all of your A/N, got to the hundred words, read it... and just fell over choking with laughter. And chortling. And don't hit yourself with the shovel too hard- I want to see more stories from you. Your writing is brilliant, after all, and I'd hate to see you hospitalized for a concussion and have subsequent brain damage... ;p

I had absolutely no freaking clue what the crap was going on in the beginning of the story. I seriously thought it was some weird copy & pasted AIM conversation.. then I noticed it didn't go together. So, then, maybe everybody's talking about previous conversations we have to clue ourselves in on? Nope.. didn't seem to work. Was amusing to read, none the less, until I got to the actual story, went "What?", then read the bottom.. where it all clicked. When I finally re-read the actual story part, I laughed until my tears sprang to my eyes and copy & pasted it to my boyfriend saying exactly that! Haha! Thanks for the laugh!

Author's Response: Nope, just a bunch of highly parodied Author's Notes to the readers... Some archives, while they have ways readers can review a story, there stupidly aren't any ways for the writer to respond to those reviews...save to do it in-text. And there are some writers who don't realize the archive actually *does* have a way for them to respond to reviews (such as this one, you have to SEE the "Respond" link, and realize it's a link, first). So many of them put their responses into the next chapter, either at the beginning (where it annoys people who want to read the actual story part first), or at the end of the chapter submitted (where it's more easily skipped).

This challenge called for a minimum of 1,000 words...but like it says in the footnotes, I wanted to do the Ho!mione challenge in only 100 words. Which left 900 more to fill...and since it's supposed to be a parody, muahahahah...and because I just couldn't bring myself to misspell stuff...I parodied the A/N responses. Which is actually, regrettably, true-to-life. I have seen at least 3 chapters (in different authors' stories) wherein the A/Ns were either longer than the actual story section of the chapter...or were the whole chapter submission itself, with no actual story component. *wince...sigh*

So here it is, an extremely painful yet funny parody. I'm glad you enjoyed it so much, once it made sense! ~Lotm

(dies laughing) Forget clawing my own eyes out, I think they've permanently crossed. Your other stories more than make up for this, so don't kill yourself with that spade!

Author's Response: *curtsies, hiding spade behind her back* Thankee! ~Lotm
