| This is an absolutely wonderful story. Even though I sometimes grow a little impatient with the, erm...sedate pace at which Severus is choosing to pursue Hermione, it would be contrary to his character to do otherwise. A man who has all too often experienced pain (both physical and emotional) at the hands of others would quite naturally be a little skittish at the thought of putting his heart into someone else's hands. Only a Gryffindor would rush in where angels fear to tread -- and besides, to use a rather apropos analogy (given Hermione's present occupation), romantic relationships that are given plenty of time and space in which to grow as they are meant to do generally last longer. That being said, however...I'd kind of like to see Severus not be *quite* such a perfect gentleman with Hermione all the time! ;) |
