You are doing a great job telling this story. I like the way that Severus keep comparing the past with now, like for instance, how he remembers that he didn't vacation with Hermione, or that he never wanted to cuddle at night, but now the chance is gone, etc. Maybe, in another story, Hermione could have asked Harry to obliviate her memory of Snape because she was tired of a cold, one way relationship, and the spell went wrong and took too much, hence the total amnesia. Are there stories like that one?

Author's Response: There is a story sorta like that, kinda along the lines of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, called Severely Deluded by Mireille on ffnet. Except in this one she uses a pensieve after discovering that she has a crush on Prof. Snape in her seventh year. A good read, although it has an open ending. Anyway, thanks for reading!

I really like where this story is going. I also like that it is only Severus's POV because the reader has to guess Hermione's thoughts. I can't wait to read the next installment!

Author's Response: Another reason is that Hermione's thoughts are really jumbled at the moment. I think it would be very hard to write her right now and keep her in character if I had to include her thought processes too. It would just detract over all. Thanks so much for reading!

I'm enjoying this, especially the slight changes I can see in Snape's personality from chapter to chapter. This experience is really making him more thoughtful about and toward Hermione. The idea of the story is interesting, as well. It addresses a real flaw in Snape's character, that in ability to "wear his heart on his sleeve" as he accused Harry of doing in OotP. Nice job so far. Best, Sophie

Author's Response: The old saying "you never know what you have until its gone" definitely applies to this story. Thanks for reading!
