I'm very behind in my reading but I'm still loving this story. Your assesment of Voldemort's reasons for warmongering, etc. are very interesting.

Author's Response: Don't worry about being behind. It'll always be there, waiting for you. :)

too bad you didn't go more into the little scene when sev sees her arm,,, it would have been nice to see more dialogue with mroe of his response to it...but herm was a bit too pissed at him to have that happen. oh well. i like how you picked a very sub-character (Hannah) for Herm to meet up with. good to know there is a resistance...i would have been scared if you never mentioned one. update soon! -The Grim

Author's Response: The arm will come back soon--after all, he's gonna have to see his own name there at some point, or where would the tension be?

Dear Meggory,

Ever since I read Bloodcult of Freud's Long Black Coat I've been very interested in reading a story about post-war world in which Voldemort has won. So of course I was very happy when I saw your story. And it wasn't a disappointment. The vision of the post-war world is terrific. I am also quite amazed with how you describe the situation - it's your own vision, but you use WWII elements carefully interweaving them with your own creations. This truly makes me happy - for I often get frustrated with people's lack of knowledge about the horrors people here had to live through.

As to the chattiness - no need to apologise. I love well-written dialogue and will take it over over-sized description any day ;)

Draco was banished to rule Lihuania or somewhere around there - my, that's terrible. I do hope not Poland - although that just might kill him. There is much to be said about the Poles, but one thing is - we're good at Resistance. Hundreds of years of training.

Dolohov's way of gaining power in Russia - possible only because it wasn't Putin at power yet (because it happens before the 2000 year, doesn't it?). Putin would not be taken over so easily.

4. I have nothing against the Russians. Really. It's just fiction. More countries' governments and policies to be mentioned later... - now, I do hope I will like what you write of Poland ;) If not, I promise I will tell! (BTW, if you haven't guessed yet, I am writing the review as I am reading. So I don't miss anything huge I want to comment on)

For the first time in over a year, someone wanted to protect her from the world - that was a good sentence. Put exactly where it should be. Nice.

Ha! Poland is still fighting. Neat. I do hope the Death Eaters will have huge problems with it. If you want to write something more about the situation there, include names or something, feel free to ask me - as a Native, I could tell you where Polish magic schools may be located or some such! Names, anything. I would happily help.

Percy being the evil wizard - I don't find it too likely, and it's already become somewhat cliched, but I suppose he is the only one that works here. And I must admit I've always liked the idea of Percy being Malfoy's personal assistant. But I am somewhat deviated ;)

Rodolphus had actually saved Hermione twice - is he simply so impatient or is there a bit of humanity in his soul? I must admit that it's a bit strange, for Malfoy is his superior, is he not?

You wrote Snape very much in character and nicely. I liked how he dealt with the guard and his talk with Hermione later.

As to sleeping in a car - nothing unusual, I can't even sleep in a bus, let alone car. It's simply impossible for me to fall asleep unless I am lying down.

All in all, I very much like the story so far and am looking forward to reading more. The cliffhanger at the end of this chapter is really a good one.

Greetings from Poland,
Novinha

Author's Response: Wow! This is the most detailed review I've ever received, so first of all, thank you for your attention to detail! I wasn't planning to write anything Poland-specific (mainly because I know very little about it), but if something rolls around in my brain for a little while, I'll be sure to get in touch. I needed to get Draco out of the way for a little while, and I figured Lithuania would be a good start. The area will sure stir up trouble. As for the little bit about Poland and the immediate area, I wanted to ensure they put up a good fight. Just wait what I come up with for France. They can't always surrender.... I realize the whole evil Percy thing has been done, but I really believe deep down that he could be selfish enough to betray his family and friends. I personally could see the large family adding to his drive for power; not that there's anything wrong with large families, but I know a few people who have many siblings and they tend to be a bit selfish simply because they had to share everything when they were young. Percy wants to stand out from the multitude of Weasleys, which is fine--but he is too blind with power (and myopia) to realize how poor his choices have been. As for Rodolphus, I've always thought there should be a little bit of civility left in some of the Death Eaters. It was almost hard to write, knowing what he did to Neville's parents. He's an evil man, certainly, but I think he also dislikes waste. Thank you again for the review! -Meggory

You are forgive by me for the late update because the real world also stoped me from comming back to this wonderful story to read the last three updates. I dont know about the 79 grand marquis but the 76 marquis makes a good bed in the front and back seat. And my freinds teased that it was a 5 o mobile (from Hawaii 5 0 ). I think a lot of people dont sleep while others drive because they dont have control of the vehicle and that is not normal to the human nature. Well I cant what to see who caught Hermine and how see gets out of this. does her wondless magic help? Well I hope that the real world doesnt hinder eather of us to find out . until then Bill

Author's Response: Oh, trust me, the '79 Marquis is fabulous to sleep in. Mine had springs instead of just a foam-covered bench in the back, and leather seats. I could almost stretch all the way out (i'm just a hair shy of 5'4"). Throw in a sleeping bag and crack the window a bit to keep the air circulating, and it's a better sleep than in a tent full of vomiting drunks. The Real World kinda sucks sometimes.

Well written. An interesting take on "the War's" impact on the Muggle world.

Author's Response: Thanks for the review! I feel bad for the poor, unsuspecting Muggles.

Again, what a lovely writing style you have -- this story is very well plotted -- can't wait to read more.

Author's Response: Thanks for the review! An update to come very soon, with more plot!
