Reviews for Forget Me Not

Here it is, June of 2021, and I see I first read and reviewed this story in April, 2010. Having read so many hundreds (maybe even thousands?) of SS/HG stories through the years, I no longer remembered any of the particulars of this one. After eleven years, it was a new story to me! I enjoyed it all over again. I hope you are still writing, even if it's no longer in HP fan fiction. Thanks for all your hard work! |

I'm rereading this eleven years after this previous review of mine. I didn't remember having read it before, but I'm certainly enjoying it. Interestingly, I was as taken by the end of this chapter upon this reading as I was eleven years ago. Nicely done writing, dear author! |

" 'You want me to ask questions?' she asked incredulously. He chuckled softly, which seemed to surprise her even more. 'Further proof that I am completely besotted with you,' he said wryly." I love how you are demonstrating--and having Snape demonstrate--his real feelings for her. It's surprising him, in a way, nearly as much as it's surprising Hermione. Well done! |

"He grabbed what he thought was her planner, but upon further inspection found all the pages burnt out. That was odd. She loved books, why would she keep this empty shell."
Why indeed?! Looks like this is one place Severus will begin to find some answers, which is no doubt why you put this here. Looking forward to more; glad this story is already finished! |

"The man she loved was buried deep beneath years of mistrust and mistreatment and now he would have to dig him out and prove to her that he was worthy. She had made him believe it once, now it was his turn to convince her." Encapsulates the entire theme behind the story--I'm looking forward to reading it! |

I don't know if you are still active and will see this message. I read an article on npr that reminded me of this story http://www.npr.org/2015/07/25/425655861/in-wondering-who-you-are-a-man-wakes-up-and-doesnt-know-his-wife?utm_source=facebook.com&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=npr&utm_term=nprnews&utm_content=20150725 . I had recently re-read this and some of your other works because I really enjoy your writing, but after reading the article I just wanted to say that you really captured really well the possibility of what happens when someone suffers this kind of memory loss. So, bravo! I hope you will write something again soon so we can enjoy some more of your writing . |
