| Excellent chapter, it was so great to see them finally TALK. No evasions, no manipulation, no magic..just talking it out. I don't think she should have forgiven him so easily, what he did was despicable but I'm so glad that Minerva realised how atrocious her matchmaking attempt was (I was fuming as I read it, haha) Author's Response: She was certainly under no obligation to forgive him at all, no matter what he did to try to make up for his despicable behavior. I figured if she DID decide to do so, she wouldn't drag it out -- Hermione seems to be a pretty forgiving character. She'd been coming to it by degrees in this case, and the conversation was what she needed. | |||

| I can't recall if you said it last chapter or chapter before but Hermione said something that hit me hard.
"Whether it was legal says nothing about whether it was just."
That was really the heart of the matter, wasn't it. It said everything. I've been waiting the entire story for her to say that, in those exact words - well done! Author's Response: It is indeed the key point. Hermione thinks it goes without saying, but it really needed to be said. | |||
